At the end of April, April 28th to be precise, two Watauga County deputies, Sgt. Chris Ward and Deputy Logan Fox were shot and killed during a welfare check. The death of these two Watauga County Deputies and their families became the focus of Back The Blue NC through the entire month of May.
Sergeant Ward, 36 was in law enforcement for 8 years and is survived by his wife and two daughters, ages 19 and 5.
K9 Deputy Sheriff Logan Fox, 25 was in law enforcement for 2 years and is survived by his parents, a fiancé and extended family.
Upon the death of the two Deputies BTBNC immediately set up two ‘go fund me’ accounts and raised in excess of $273,000. BTBNC also worked with Tunnel To Towers and Sgt. Ward’s mortgage will be paid off in full.
During the month of May in order to bring more awareness to the dangers that our law enforcement officers face on a daily basis BTBNC CEO, Lindsay LiCausi and Chairman/Media Relations, Gadi Adelman were interviewed on several local TV news stations as well as being interviewed by both local and national newspapers.
On May 10th Gadi Adelman joined Sean Hannity on his radio show to discuss the ramifications of the ‘defund the police’ movement.
Although the publicity is appreciated we at BTBNC would prefer that it not be under these circumstances and not only when LEO’s are killed in the line of duty.
Hopefully, sooner rather than later we can be interviewed speaking about how our law enforcement officers are once again respected, appreciated and that the ‘defund the police’ is dead.
We can achieve this with your help, stand up, speak up and continue to support all law enforcement and BTBNC.
You all are doing a great job helping to take care of these deserving families, just sorry you are so needed.
