June was an amazing month for both NC LEOs and Back The Blue NC, Inc.
June 19th was the National Day of Prayer for Law Enforcement Officers and our prayers were answered! First and foremost, we lost no officers in NC during the month of June and that is a true blessing.
June was also the largest fundraising month to date for BTBNC. Through our ‘GoFundMe’ pages, website donations and sales, as well as our on site events, we raised in excess of $283,400 for the families of NC Leo's killed in the line of duty!
We are coming up on our first anniversary. July 6th BTBNC will be celebrating their first anniversary! That’s right people, we are only one year old and to say that we have outdone all our expectations would be an understatement! None of what we have achieved in such a short time would have ever been possible without the help of all our members and supporters and we can not thank you enough!
BTBNC started on July 6, 2020 and in one year we have grown from a Facebook support page to a full, incorporated, IRS approved 501-C3 non-profit organization. Our entire mission grew from a Facebook ‘support your local law enforcement’ page to “Giving back to those who are willing to give their all”.
Since the formation of BTBNC last July we have unfortunately had seven Leo’s killed in the line of duty.
