Donations Pouring In For Two Law Enforcement Officers Killed In Line Of Duty

CHARLOTTE — Tributes and donations are continuing to pour in for two members of local law enforcement killed in the line of duty.

People all across the country have donated thousands of dollars to the families of Trooper John Horton and CMPD officer Mia Goodwin. The organization, Back the Blue NC has helped raise more than $73,000 for the Horton family. And, three Gofundme accounts have collected more than $472,000 for the family of Officer Goodwin.

“It’s especially important for the community to get together and rally behind officers and their families because these men and women daily put their lives on the line to protect and serve us,” says Lindsay Licausi, Founder and CEO of Back the Blue NC, Inc.
